CURRENT POSITION

My current position is with UW Hospital and Clinics as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). My practice is based on the CNS spheres of influence and I work with the adult and pediatric populations and their families to provide comprehensive, holistic care.

I am a leader in various aspects of my nursing practice. My practice is both theory and evidence based. I have utilized my leadership skills and creativity to improve my clients’ care in the critical-care, neonatal, and community settings. A current research interest of mine is the use of music for relieving pain and anxiety in the adult burn patient.

02/2000-03/2006 - Staff Nurse, RN - University of Colorado Hospital, Burn and Trauma Unit Job duties include providing direct, intensive care to clients suffering from burn injury as well as other traumas. I provide ongoing education to patients.
